Pediatric Dentistry

Excellent oral health is an essential part of your child’s overall well-being. At Oak Grove Dental, we love treating kids because we want to help them develop a positive view of dentistry. This is the best way to ensure that they stay proactive with dental care throughout their lives.

Our team is experienced in working with kids, and we know how to care for them so they always feel safe and secure with us. We understand that each child responds differently to dental visits, and we take the time to address your child’s unique needs.

The Importance of Early Childhood Visits

We recommend that you bring your child for their first visit within six months of the first tooth erupting, but no later than age three. You may not realize it, but this is an important time in your child’s dental development.

Parent education plays a large part in caring for your child’s teeth. We will help you understand the importance of dental care and what you can do to keep their teeth healthy.

The primary purpose of the first few visits is to allow your child to get familiar with us and the new surroundings. Our team focuses on keeping things light and fun, and we do everything possible to put your kids at ease. We want kids to feel good about dental visits, and we will never move forward with treatment if we feel your child is not ready.

If appropriate, we will recommend preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants to protect their teeth from decay. The steps we take now to protect your child’s oral health increase the odds that they will enjoy healthy teeth for a lifetime.
